Game description:
Forza Horizon 4 is a 2018 racing video game developed by Playground Games and published by Microsoft Studios. Forza Horizon 4 is a racing video game set in an open world environment based in a fictionalised Great Britain, with regions that include condensed representations of Edinburgh, the Scottish Highlands, the Lake District (including Derwentwater), Ambleside and the Cotswolds (including Broadway), Bamburgh among others.
Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition:
The Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition digital bundle includes the full game and Car Pass, VIP Membership, Formula Drift Car Pack, Best of Bond Car Pack, and the Fortune Island and LEGO® Speed Champions game expansions.
Fortune Island:
Fortune Island and also known as Series 4, is the fourth major content update for Forza Horizon 4 released on December 13, 2018 with the Fortune Island expansion. New content includes the Fortune Island expansion, Photo Mode improvements and Christmas-themed character customization items. Notable car additions include ten cars from the Fortune Island expansion
LEGO® Speed Champions:
LEGO Speed Champions is the second expansion for Forza Horizon 4 released on June 13, 2019 for Xbox One and Windows 10. It is included as standard with the Ultimate Edition, Ultimate Add-Ons Bundle, and Expansion Bundle. The expansion adds LEGO Valley as a new location, a Lego-themed amusement-park world featuring a high number of unique landmarks including an entire Lego city named Brickchester, Falcon Speedway and the "Super Mega Awesome Adventure Stunt Park." The LEGO Brick Challenge Campaign encourages players to explore and allows them to build a Master Builder's House. It also adds new challenges such as LEGO Speed Ramps and Destruction challenges. As suggested by the name, the expansion comes with Speed Champion cars like the McLaren Senna, Ferrari F40 Competizione and the 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally that players can collect.
Gameplay:
The game features over 750 licensed cars from car brands. Players have the opportunity to buy in-game houses which unlock new items, cars and game-play perks, including Horizon Promo and the ability to fast travel anywhere on the map. The game features a dynamic weather system that also depicts the change of seasons. The environment in the world will change depending on the season: for example, Derwentwater would freeze over in winter and allow players the ability to drive on the ice to reach areas of the game world that would be inaccessible during all the other seasons. The seasons are fixed across the game's servers, meaning that all players will experience the same conditions at the same time. After completing a prologue series of events which introduce players to all four seasons, the shared-world seasons will change every week.
Game review:
I’ll always have a massive soft spot for the down under delights of Forza Horizon 3, but open-world racing has never looked as good as it does in Forza Horizon 4. It combines a beautiful world that’s really four hugely distinct maps in one with a constantly rewarding and self-renewing racing experience and I really can’t tear myself away from it. Playground Games hasn’t just upped the ante once again; it’s blown the bloody doors off.
